About Fundación Recal

Fundacion Recal is a private non-profit organisation based in Madrid, which was founded in 2001 by Maximillian Von Habsburg.

The primary objective of the Foundation is to provide help to individuals who are suffering from addiction with a view to enabling them to establish recovery and reintegrate successfully into society while providing support for their families. The Foundation is also concerned with young people at risk of developing addiction and with the development of the professional workforce.

With over 16 years of offering addiction treatment, the main treatment centre is in the town of Majadahonda (Madrid). The Foundation also has two premises in Pozuelo de Alarcon ensuring continued support of patients who have completed the first-stage of treatment. Day support is provided to patients with less intensive therapeutic needs in the centre of Madrid where we also run a programme for Youth at Risk.

Our mission is to provide or facilitate:

1. Assistance, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation services to patients suffering from addictive disorders and/or behaviours, and in addition to provide support to families.

2. Social reintegration, including the employment of patients in recovery.

3. Continuing professional development of therapists in the addiction field.
